2/28/12 To Whom It May Concern: It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Miss Meghan

Harrison. I feel fortunate to have worked with Meghan for four years as her guidance counselor. I feel I know the Harrison family especially well as Meghans brother was also my student in 1997!! Meghan was a model student here at Waukesha North High School; her teachers and peers were privileged to interact with her because she possesses a truly positive spirit and exceptional maturity. At Waukesha North, Meghan was academically very solid. She took a traditional college-bound academic schedule. Meghan was a steady learner who had an impressive GPA of 3.32. To Meghans credit, she worked hard in her final year at North. While many seniors were coasting with easy schedules, Meghan was taking three Advanced Placement classes (Psychology, English, Art Portfolio) in addition to physics and pre-college math!! Athletically, Meghan continues to be an exceptional individual. She was been the pillar of Norths volleyball team, having been a four year varsity player. What probably explains Meghans exceptional maturity level most was an unfortunate injury. In one of the first games of her junior year, Meghan suffered a potentially career-ending arm injury. For the next four months, Meghan had to learn the values of patience and fortitude. While her friends were playing hard, she was working hard in physical therapy. For an active, talented athlete, that was the definitive reality check that ultimately made Meghan a stronger and better person. In terms of character, Meghan was truly a model for others. In addition to her notable maturity, she was always been pleasant and good natured; all teachers would concur on this. Meghan was dependable and reliable in terms of attendance and academics. Her integrity was beyond reproach! Meghan was the perfect example of what is right and good about todays youth. She was the teen any parent would be thrilled to have as their childs friend! In general, Meghan would be an excellent candidate for any position working with children. She will be an amazing teacher patient, good-natured, kind, but firm. I definitely recommend her highly! Sincerely,

Julie DeYoung Student Services Counselor
