Essential Keyboard shortcuts for Premiere Pro CS3

There are a lot of keyboard shortcuts, so the best way to learn them is twofold: use em and print em. To print all of the keyboard shortcuts from within Premiere Pro, hold down ctrl-shift-cmd (Mac) or ctrlshift-alt (PC) while selecting Edit>Keyboard customization. Then you will see a Clipboard button. Click it and then launch either Notepad (PC) or TextEdit (Mac) and paste. From there, you can print, organize or modify. My other tip is simply to start using them: pay attention when you access a menu command or roll over a button in the Premiere Pro interface. Chances are, either location will give you the keyboard equivalent of the command. Once you get started, youll start picking up new ones quickly.

Transport controls: pretty self-explanatory. These are ones that I use all of the time, partly because theyre conveniently located to one another.

In, Out and Clear: This is kind of the lefthanded side of the keyboard. Convenient especially when youre right handed.
