CLEAN EARTH DREDGING TECHNOLOGIES

Advantage Engineers, LLC (Advantage) was present on site to observe the placement and compaction of backfill. The backfill consisted of amended dredge material. The backfill was placed in an approximately 12 inch loose lift and the lift was compacted using a steel drum vibratory roller having a static weight of approximately 10 tons. In accordance with the project specifications, Advantage performed static load tests on the compacted fill. A total of five (5) tests were completed today. All of the tests performed today successfully met the project required settlement of less than one inch at a load of 9,000 pounds. Please see the attached load test worksheets for the results of each load test. The locations of each test are shown below. Additionally, a nuclear density gauge was used to monitor the lift. Density tests were taken in areas adjacent to each plate load test. A summary of the test results are provided in the table that follows for your review.
