NUST sponsors faculty members and PG students for research paper presentation in

international conferences and seminars, incase, Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) decline. However, the utilization of these sponsorships from HEC/PSF by NUST Faculty and Students is very low. The main reason being the late processing of cases by faculty/students as all external funding need at least 7 weeks processing time. 2. This office is cognizant of the fact that in some cases, sufficient time is not available after

the paper is accepted. Therefore, it is advised that the documentation may be completed, in parallel with submission of research paper to the conference and then the cases can submitted immediately after receipt of acceptance letter. 3. Foregoing in view, it is essential that all requests for subject sponsorship must be sent to

Research Dte well in advance (more than six weeks) having enough time for processing at our end. In this way, this office will be in a better position to facilitate the faculty and student for the purpose. Forgoing in view, late submissions henceforth will not be entertained by this directorate without justifiable reasons.
