Guidelines on Public Holidays and University Closure Days

General Rules
The University is normally closed on the 8 Public Holidays for England and Wales, as follows: New Year's Day May Bank Holiday Christmas Day Good Friday Spring Bank Holiday Boxing Day Easter Monday Summer Bank Holiday The University is also normally closed on the following 6 Closure Days last weekday before Christmas (1 day); weekdays between Christmas and New Year (3 days); Thursday before Good Friday and Tuesday after Easter Monday (2 days). Exceptions at Greenlands The Greenlands campus will not normally close on the Thursday before Easter and the Tuesday after Easter. Employees on University annual leave at Greenlands will be credited with additional annual leave (2 days for a full time employee) as a result of this.
