Masthead (title of magazine) Think about style, meaning, font and Colour Weeklywave is the magazine name. The style of the text would be a bold font with a strong colour such as dark blue. This is because grime is an extreme music genre; therefore an extreme colour should be used. The urban meaning of wave is a craze or hype. This fits well with the genre as the title uses some slang. A block font would work well here.

Interviews and features (what genre is the magazine? How will the target audience know? What/who will they read about inside?) The genre is grime and hip-hop. The target audience will know this because of the layout and coverlines. The language will be more informal as the common readers may be younger and less interested in text. Images will be obvious indicators due to costume etc. Interviews will also be based around grime music and various artists.

Coverlines (what articles will be in the magazine?) Approximately 3-4 coverlines will be used on the cover. This is to avoid overcrowding but at the same time make sure there is no large blank spaces. The main coverline will be based on the main image, keeping it relevant. The other coverlines will discuss other articles inside, however these headings will be in a smaller font to avoid distraction from the main coverline story.

Images The main image Who will be shown? How will they be represented? (What will they look like?) The main image will show the artist who the double page spread will be based on. The artist will need to follow the look of a grime artist, so they will need to wear urban clothes and show lack of facial expression. This is because grime or rap artists stereotypically come from tough backgrounds, therefore a lack of emotion on the face may indicate that the artist has nothing much to smile about. Also if the article inside is of a serious subject, a smile on the artist face would be irrelevant. Overall, the main image of the artist will need to follow stereotypes so that the audience are automatically recognise the genre of the music in which the magazine will be based on.

What pugs, promotions or free gifts will be on the front cover? Promotions would include up and coming events and studios around various areas. Prizes may also be able to won such as tickets, gadgets or even clothing.
