Identifies vocabulary related to introductions and nationalities. Says the numbers from 50 to 100. Asks and answers questions about a person's origin. Identifies and does simple math operations. Uses songs to learn vocabulary and structures. Listens to and follows directions.

Materiales

A map of the world. Small items such as beans or very small toys (no less than 100). Flashcards showing people from different nationalities. Colored paper, glue and sticks to design flags.

Preparacin Find out what sort of greetings and introductions the students are familiar with. As you show them the map, talk about different countries. Ask them if they've been abroad. See if they can identify typical things from different countries. You may also want to play the Number Buzz Game to review the numbers up to 50. Desarrollo Ask students to design some flags (the ones from the countries whose nationality you are going to introduce). Show the students some flashcards with people from different countries. Ask them what the people in the picture are doing. Say the name of each nationality and have the students repeat it. Make sure their nationality is included in the ones they're learning: if not, do so. Tareas: Invite your students to play the Yes/No Game. You can use the flags they've made. Make sure all the students have one for all the nationalities learned. Ask a kid, as you point to his/her flag: "Are you Canadian?" Then, ask this kid to pick up another student's flag and ask the same question, but changing the nationality.
