INVITATION FOR PRE QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTOR FORCONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS(INCLUDING CIVIL, ELECTRICAL, HVAC WORKS Director, ARCI invites applications for pre-qualification tenderers in prescribed format from registered contractors for Construction of buildings (Including Civil, Electrical, HVAC works in ARCI Campus for four buildings at an approximate cost of Rs 6.8 crores Prescribed format may be downloaded from http://www.arci.res.in. 3 INVITATION FOR PRE- QUALIFICATION OF BUILDING CONTRACTOR FOR CIVIL, ELECTRICAL,HVAC, LAN & TELEPHONE WORKS Applications are invited in prescribed format for pre-qualification of building contractors for Construction of three new buildings and First floor on one existing building (i.e. including Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, LAN& Telephone works as a single tender) at ARCI campus. Total area of buildings is about 2662 sqm at estimated cost of Rs 6.80crores. Applications are invited from experienced building contractors for the under mentioned integrated list of jobs as a single contract. Application format comprises file-I related to details of builder and file-2 related to works executed. The Contractor ought to be well established with proven techno-economic capacity, competence and managerial capacity to execute the jobs as per for time schedule & conversant with work specifications and standard building code practices etc, with a team of experienced technical staff, resourceful with trained workforce, requisite machinery, equipment, tools & tackles.

Pre-qualification / eligibility criteria for building contractors:

1. Average annual financial turnover during the last three years (2008-2011), ending 31st March of 2011, at least 30% of estimated cost of work. 2. Experience of having successfully completed similar integrated works (i.e. Civil, Electrical, LAN, Telephone & HVAC Works) during last seven years should be either of the following: a) Three similar completed works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the estimated cost of present work.

b) Two similar completed works each costing not less than the amount equal to 50% of the estimated cost of present work.

or
c) One similar completed work costing not less than the amount equal to 80% of the estimated cost of present work. Availability of the following: A) Essential 1) Provident Fund Registration Code Number (PF Code No.) 2) Employees State Insurance Corporations Registration Code Number (ESIC Code No.) 3) Latest Bank Solvency certificate of Nationalized / Scheduled Bank of minimum value of 20% of estimated cost of the job. 4) Income Tax Departments PAN. No 5)Statutory government licenses i.e. Electrical supervisory licenses to get CEA Chennai clearance to commission the electrical system.(11KV&33KV) 6) VAT ,Service Tax, Labour License Registration Number B) Desirable: 1) Established organization with a set of well experienced technical staff & supervisors. 2) Requisite machinery, equipment, tools & tackles.

6 3) Registration with other departments, (please furnish the information with copies of relevant documents)

c) General : 1) Application forms can be obtained from the website of ARCI i.e http://www.arci.res.in 2) The Contractors are required to submit the necessary documents towards the proof / evidence of satisfactory completion of the previous works carried out. 3) ARCI reserves its right to inspect the work carried out by the party to satisfy itself regarding quality, finishes, workmanship and their clients feedback on the above issues and competence of the party to take up the work before considering the party for pre-qualification. 4) ARCI reserves its right to accept or to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason thereof. 5) Applications not received in the prescribed manner are liable for rejection.

6) The duly filled applications have to be submitted to the Director, A R C I , R C I R o a d B a l a p u r , H y d e r a b a d - 5 0 0 0 0 5 on or before 3rd March 2012 upto 3.00 p.m.

Instructions to the Applicants for furnishing information as part of pre-qualification

ARCI intends to prepare a panel of reputed building Contractors for undertaking Civil and Electrical works comprising of Structural steel, concrete composite work, Interior architecture work, Painting work, Road work, Anti -termite work, Waterproofing work,

Disposal of debris, Construction of Storm water drain, Water supply work, Sewerage work, HVAC, Electrical work, LAN and telephone works etc. to be carried out in ARCI campus, Hyd. Only contractors who have satisfactorily taken up the Civil, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, LAN, and telephone works etc. preferably for Central Government / State Government /

Public Sector Undertaking / Indian railways / MES / Autonomous Body / MNCs / registerd builders during the last seven years and satisfy the stipulated selection criteria shall be considered for pre-qualification. The period of 07 years shall be from 01.04.2004 to 31.03.2011.

1. Intending applicants are required to submit their full bio-data giving details about their organization, experience, competence and adequate evidence of their technical and financial standing etc. in the enclosed statements. 2. While deciding upon the selection of contractors, emphasis will be given on the ability and competence of applicants to do good quality work in accordance with the specifications and within the time schedule. 3. Decision of ARCI in regard to selection of contractors for issuing the tender documents will be final. ARCI is not bound to assign any reason for selection / rejection of contractors. 4. I f the space in the proforma is insufficient for furnishing full details, the information should be supplemented in separate sheets of paper stating therein the part of the statement and serial number. 5. Applications containing false and / or inadequate information are liable for rejection. Applicants shall be disqualified at any stage at their risk and cost i f they are found to have made untrue or false representation in the forms, statements and attachments
