How does Steinbeck show how George & Lennie are different from the other ranch-
hands?

You should write about:

• How Steinbeck presents their friendship

• The loneliness of the lifestyle of other characters in the novel
• How their dream sets them apart, and how Steinbeck shows that it is doomed
to be shattered

You could use the three bullet points to organise your essay into three main sections.

In each section you should make sure that you follow the P-E-E chain:
