Join Us for the Dogwood Launch Event!

When: Thursday, April 18th, 2013 7-9 pm Where: Fairfield University Bookstore, 1499 Post Road, Fairfield Join us to celebrate the launch of the 12th issue of Dogwood: A Journal of Poetry and Prose, which includes the winners of the 2013 Contests in three genres, including the Grand Prize Award of $1000. Dogwood, a national literary journal based at Fairfield University and edited with the significant contributions of teams of students as part of two courses in the Dept. of English, will host area authors whose work has appeared in Dogwood over the last two years, including Claire Zoghb, winner of 2008 Dogwood poetry award. Claire Zoghbs first fulllength collection, Small House Breathing, won the 2008 Quercus Review Poetry Series Award. Twice a Pushcart Prize nominee, Claire was the winner of the 2008 Dogwood annual poetry competition, judged by Irish poet Micheal O'Siadhail. In addition to these readings, we welcome featured artist Gordon Skinner, a painter and sculptor from New Haven whose work graces the cover of the 2013 issue.
