THAT ROOMMATE For Immediate Release August 23, 2013 Contact: Chelsea Lawlor (607) 555-4444 The XCELL

Agency is launching the That Roommate campaign for fall 2013. One third of college students have experienced conflict, frustration, or guilt with their roommates over cleanliness and housework. This campaign has been created out of the need for awareness of respect for ones roommate. Many college students have not shared a room prior to living in dorms, and need assistance navigating life with a stranger in their space at all times. The roommate campaign target audience is all college students with an emphasis on those living oncampus. The primary goal of the campaign is to teach students how to Knock Out Bad Situations, in relation to roommate living. The campaign will encourage students to respect their roommates by being compassionate, communicating, compromising, coordinated socializing, and cleanliness through a multi-faceted multi-media campaign. That Roommate will utilize many social media outlets including Twitter and Facebook to engage with target audiences by inviting them to share their own roommate experiences and providing tips on how to prevent future roommate conflict. The campaign will kick off next Friday, August 30th at 1:00PM at the lower quad at SUNY Oneonta. Students will be encouraged to participate in Oneontas Amazing Race where roommates can compete together to win numerous prizes including a $500 scholarship. To learn more about this campaign, visit @that_roomie on Twitter and Dont Be That Roommate on Facebook. And always remember to knock out bad habits.
