THW Invent The Machine That Could Erase Memory

Background This debate happens in future where all technology is possible. Currently we face so many traumatic events that leave a bad scar to peoples memory. We had Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, one of the most traumatic events in modern memory and the motivation behind the persistent wars in the Middle East for example. 18 percent of the adult population suffers from some sort of an anxiety disorder and an additional 1 out of every 5 deaths from health complications due to smoking alone. Many people become suicidal or cant live their life maximuly just because of bad traumas they had. This create demands of sollution to invent a machine that could erase memory. But many ethicists argue these kinds of drugs should not be developed. People have memories for a reason, and changing or erasing them alters something that makes us all human. But for the greater good that could be brought by this machine, we say we should invent it. Definition Mechanism Disclaimer Team Split Argument Motion Negation (Stance jg..)
