History. Leadership Training Adviser at the Royal Military Academy Worlds first professor in Leadership Studies at University of Surrey. Found Europe's first Centre for Leadership Studies at University of Exeter. Now a National and International adviser on Leadership development and is regarded as the worlds leading authority on leadership and leadership development. Author of 30 books including Not bosses but Leaders, The Inspirational Leader, Leadership and Motivation.

- Focuses on what a leader has to be. - The art of influencing a body of people to follow a certain

course of action; the art of controlling them, directing them and getting the best out of them. Insists leaders are born with certain qualities and not made. Distinguishing quality of a leader- confidence. Major part of leadership is Man-management. Various other qualities possessed by a person to be a leader.

man or woman who knows what to do and how to do it. - A leader needs true knowledge of human nature. - Must have the ability to give people intellectual and moral strength. - Your position never gives you the right to command . It only imposes on you the duty of so living your life that others may receive your orders without being humiliated

Principle One: TRAINING FOR LEADERSHIP


There is nobody who cannot vastly improve his powers of leadership by a little thought and practice Select good seed or stock II. Prepare the soil III.
