I am in the kingdom Eubacteria.

I am single-celled.

I am prokaryote, I dont have a nucleus.

I can be Autotrophic or Heterotrophic; I can make my food or consume my food.

Interesting Facts
1. The bacteria is normally found in the respiratory tract of humans

2. The bacterium was first discovered by Louis Pasteur in 1881 3. A person is no longer contagious after they have been on antibiotics for 24 hours 4. It is uncommon for someone with strep throat to have a sore throat for more than one week 5. A symptom of strep throat is having a temperature above 101 degrees Fahrenheit.

What I look like


My shape looks like circles stuck together in little links.

My color in red blood cells is a greenish color.

I am microscopic sized; you cannot see me with the naked eye.

How I get my food


I get my food by infecting someone with a sickness called strep throat. First, I find a place with the food I eat. Then, I infect my host and eat away at it.

I eat flesh (skin)

I can be found
Everywhere, I can be found in bodies. On humans or animals. My opposite Archaebacteria can be found in extreme environments.
