APPLYING FOR THE SEMINAR IEK organised a Contract Management Course in November 2006 which was attended by more than 70 participants. The Institution of Engineers of Kenya SEMINAR ON CONTRACT MANAGEMENT Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) is organising a seminar on Contract Management on 28th October 2nd November 2007 at KCCT, Mbagathi. TARGET GROUP The seminar is targeting all categories of Engineers in the public sector, private sector and in the universities. The seminar will also be relevant to university graduates in senior procurement positions in large organisations.

IEK will continue taking an active role in the continuous training of engineers so as to assume the country of instant access to competent professional engineers with capacity to produce: Cost effective solutions to engineering problems Timely implementation of engineering projects High quality engineering products

TOPICS TO BE COVERED: Experienced resource persons will guide participants on the following topics: Projects initiation planning and appraisal Technical specifications Contract law Tendering procedures and bidding process Contract negotiation and project management
