Productivity Improvement

One of the major causes of a companys decline is low productivity. Failure to meet the targeted productivity can result to high cost per unit, hence the higher price will make our goods, services or commodities uncompetitive enough in the market. Therefore, it is important for us to implement strategies to make improvements in the productivity level. The effects of productivity in our operating system are quite pervasive. The close links among workers produce heightened awareness of problems and their causes coupled with managements intervention to improve productivity. There are few key levers for every days productivity improvements: 1. Minimize reject at all sections Where daily monitoring, educate regarding the new processes, skill developments and trainings of staffs in order to achieve productivity across the business. For time being, we are recording daily wastage (reject / scrap) at all sections & we keep monitoring the performances. 2. Improve press and kiln production efficiency To increase the production output by increasing pressing cycle (more output) and speed up firing cycle. Maximize the output. 3. Minimize down time By carrying out regular preventive maintenances can reduce the down time for all sections and it can maximize the daily output and reject as well. All these factors mentioned above will assist us and our business to strive to achieve our target and we can also monitor the daily data collection. Productivity Benefits By improving the productivity of a company, the business will gain more benefits, which can include

1. Increasing income / profitability 2. Lowering running costs / operational costs 3. Maximizing the usage of all the companys resources such as equipments, machineries, workers and etc. 4. More cash flow means more opportunity for the company to expand and grow.
