The world of computers The computers have evolved since the first part of the 20 century.

In those times the computers were gigantic, they were the size of a house, and the first computer was the Hercules in the Second World War. That computer was used to launch missiles but this computer only used switches. After this time in 1947 the computers were used in the space race, the first computer for that purpose was the eniac in 1950. That computer used new ideas for that time. The news ideas were the Von Neuman concept which used bulbs and a big area. In the year 1965, the computer were reduced to the size of an office, these computers used magnetic tapes and their memory was very small. In 1970 the transistor was invented, the computer had a new component, the microprocessor, the first microprocessor was the 4004 but its price was very high The second microprocessor was the 8008 but the price was growing, the next microprocessor was the 8086, it was the first microprocessor built by mass the price was very cheap compared with other microprocessors. The microprocessor 8086 had 20 versions but it had the same structure. The next microprocessor was the pentium, this microprocessor had more micro transistors and more processing power. In 1990 the computer was smaller the memory was of 16 or 32 megabytes. In 1997 the Pentium 2 was the microprocessor with memory cache level 2 and it had 300 mhz of speed. In 1999 the Pentium 3 had 1000 mhz of speed in procesors this microprocessor had 512 kb of memory cache level 2. In 2000 the microprocessor Pentium 4 was 4 mb of cache and this microprocessor needed more power, this microprocessor needed a new power supply the atx and it had 1.6 mhz. This processor had many versions but in 2004 intel made the microprocessor Pentium core 2 duo with 2 logic arithmetic unit and cache level 3. In 2007 the processor amd had influence in the market with the phenon because this processor had more power than the Pentium and it was cheaper.
