How Come Less Than 10% of The UK's Engineers Are Female?
How Come Less Than 10% of The UK's Engineers Are Female?
How come less than 10% of the UKs engineers are female?
On paper, theres nothing stopping women going all the way in engineering so why do so few women consider it as a career choice?
Young women routinely match or outperform their male classmates in science, technology and maths exams. The engineering industry is crying out for intelligent people who can combine analytical ability with good communication skills. So why are women so poorly represented? We think its because there are so few female role models within the industry. Its seen as a job for the boys, and it always will be until more young women come through and make their mark. Which is where we come in.
