Training

Flippo defined Training as Act of increasing the skills of an employee for

doing a particular job. Purpose of Training: Increase in Efficiency; important in the context of changing technology to provide training for better productivity of an individual employee. Increase in morale of employees; training increases employee morale by relating their skills with their job requirements. Possession of skills necessary to perform a job well often tends to meet human needs such as Security & Ego satisfaction. Better human relations; growing complexity of organizations has led to various human problems like inter-personal & inter-group problems. Training has to be provided to employees for how to tackle problems of social & psychological nature.
