Steam Turbine Description

The function of Extraction Check valve LBQ61, LBQ51, LBQ41, LBQ42, LBS31, LBS32, LBS21 and LBS22AA00 and check valves of moisture separator is to prevent the back flow of steam into the turbine from the extraction line, preheaters and moisture separator. Two free-swinging check valves are installed in each extraction lines A3, A4, A5 and A6,of which first check valve is equipped with an additional control actuator KA01. One free-swinging check valve equipped with an additional control actuator is installed in extraction lines A2. In the event of flow reversal in the extraction lines and moisture separator lines, the check valves close automatically, whereby actuator KA01 assists the closing movement of the check valves The mechanical design of the swing check valves is such that they are brought into the free -swinging position by means of trip oil pressure via actuator KA01. The disk is moved into the steam flow by means of spring force acting via the lever, shaft and dask lever and closes if .

The trip oil supplies to actuator KA01 is controlled by solenoid valves MAX51AA027 and change over- valves MAX51 AA047 etc. Turning the hand wheel on the change-over valves MAX51 AA047 etc. closes the associated swing check valves within the bounds of the effectiveness of the spring. The swing check valves in extraction lines A4 & A6 can also be triggered by differential pressure switch LBS41CPO02 & LBS42CPO02 and LSQ61CP002 respectively. The differential pressure switches energize solenoid valves MAX51 AA 036 etc. if the steam flow drops below a preset rate( differential pressure ) thereby further assisting the closing action of the swing check valves. The position of all swing check valves is indicated via position transmitters-CGO01A and CGO02A
