0000 My Final Vince
0000 My Final Vince
My name is Vince Kurtz. I graduated from Northwest College in Orange City in 1998. After that, I trained at camp dodge for a while, and currently serve in the capitol division. I enjoy the variety of my assignments, from serving the public to teaching drivers ed and traffic safety classes and even investigating accidents. I also likes being able to serve the people directly, and having to be being self-motivated.
Speed affects probability of crashes by decreasing stopping distance and reaction time. However, despite having higher speed limits, the interstate has decreased accidents due to lane numbers, rumble strips, wider medians and more enforcement.
The Interstate System is said by many to be the greatest Investment the US ever made. Do you agree with this? Why or why not?
I agree, personally.
The Interstate System increased free trade, and helped people get from point A to point B without having to slow down at towns and intersections.
The Interstate System actually helped the commission of crime by allowing criminals to move freely without having to go through high population centers.
I like the high mobility of being able to travel long distances in short amounts of time, which affects all of our lives.
Do you see any problems in the interstate system? What would you change if you could?
The interstate will never be perfect- safety measures are continually being added. I insist that you look into the advancements with median cable barriers.
Toll roads are different than interstate roads, and toll booths are used to pay for construction and maintenance on toll roads.
Are there places in the US that do not have interstates that should?
Not really, interstates are fairly widespread, but you should look into the highway 20 issue.
Thank you.
