    Wake up and open your eyes


    Start that heart and come to life
    You’re not supposed to be dead when you’re with me
    But stiff and gone is all you’ll be

    I hold you tight and you slip through my hands


    And slowly erode into the sand
    The decay of a future is in the air
    And I’m to scared to leave you there

    It was never supposed to be this way


    But your absence is present every day
