Its large rock that consist of thick pieced herzin white marble and is about 16 metres high.

Its
about 5.5km from the capital of Ikhtamir province, there lies the large rock in North Tamir
rivers edge. On the rock there are many writings, paintings of the past ancestors. The writings
are in about 150 languagers that prove our ancestors had many langueges. The earliest of all is
the Turegs Orkhon Enisein Writing, is very famous runi writing, that was written in AD VIVIII century. Most of the writings are in Mongolian National Writing (Uigurjin Mongol Bichig)
and about 70 of like are kept and the earliest is from about XIVth century. Some of the writings
includes ancient mongolian politicians names that are Khuukhai Dayu, Uizen Noyon Lord.
Furthermore, there are Sogd, Uigur, Kidan, Nangiad, Tibet, Bright Mongol Lanz writings and
they mean blessings, praises, prayings, poems that shows love and praise to their country and
people, religious and literature of types. On the other hand, people who wrote on Taikhar Rock
they carve their names, their titles and also their nationality. In 1998 it was set forNational
Security. According to Mongolian folk myths, a serpent beings who waged many wars in the world,
scarring the people. Then people asked favor from Bukhbilegt who is great wrestler and warrior for
destroy the beast. The Bukhbilegt took a rock from Bulgan Mountain and went to the snake. There
followed a great battle, which ended in the deaths of the serpent. The rock threw on the head of the
serpent named Taikhar. The word "head" is called as "Tarkhi" in Mongolian language.
