Tutors Wanted

Apple Valley High School

is seeking enthusiastic and motivated college students to tutor after school and in the AVID program.
The AVHS Sundevil Pride After School program operates M/T/TH/F from 2:00-5:00PM and from 12:30-3:30 on Wednesdays. Tutors work in a variety of settings helping students individually and in small groups to complete homework and to tutor them in various subjects. The AVHS AVID program employs tutors to work M/T/TH during the school day to facilitate tutoring sessions and work with AVID students. AVID tutors also occasionally volunteer to chaperone eld trips. Applicants may choose to apply to work only in the Sundevil PRIDE After School Program or to work in both programs. Tutors need to be self-motivated, able to work independently without direct supervision and comfortable working with and leading teenagers. Experience tutoring is not necessary.
