Tigers by Taylor Aluisio - Friday, 25 January 2013, 03:52 PM I am interested in the alternatives to poaching laws for Tigers. I am interested in this topic because I have a passion for animals and the different alternatives suggested for poaching may provide a better overall lifestyle for the species. The alternative ideas to the present poaching laws suggest practices that cause internal conflict with my moral and emotional compass on the rights of animals. So, overall my topic in question form I think is going to be "What are the current alternatives to poaching laws on Tigers and how do they stand against increasing the Tiger population, their overall quality of life, and in the elimination of black market supply and demand?". Nice topic! by Samantha Price - Tuesday, 29 January 2013, 09:23 AM Do you think that you want to limit it to just tigers or poaching laws in general? Or do poaching laws vary too much by species? Show parent | Reply

Re: Nice topic! by Taylor Aluisio - Wednesday, 6 February 2013, 12:15 AM I decided to limit it to just tigers in general. Poaching laws do vary a lot by each species and I most certainly don't know enough about the overall topic to start there! lol Show parent | Reply

Re: Tigers by Nicole Swaim - Tuesday, 29 January 2013, 10:53 PM I think this is such an interesting idea. You will definitely find a lot of research about both sides of this issue, so it will be cool to see how you deal with the different perspectives when forming your own opinions.

Re: Tigers by Taylor Aluisio - Wednesday, 6 February 2013, 12:17 AM Thanks! It seems to be very easy to find people for saving tigers and preservation but not so much about the concept of tiger farms or anything else against what we have in place now. Sooo I'm just going to keep digging.

Initiating conversation between classmates can help to not only build relationships, but also to help view your own problems. Maybe a fellow classmate is going through a problem that you are and can help you to realize it as you speak and carry on a conversation. Speaking within a group also helps to bring in multiple perspectives so that a new angle can be explored that you may have never even thought of.
