Students will use this introduction to World Religions to segue into our unit on the Crusades and thereafter the Middle Ages. Students must first understand the similarities between the world religions before they can begin to analyze the period of religious conflict that extends into the revolutionary age.

Students will take notes during a Hinduism/Buddhism powerpoint and will then complete a Hinduism/Buddhis Venn Diagram to accompany the chart. Will the students be assessed on this material? How can you make the presentation more interactive as you proceed through the similarities and m Presentation differences of the religions?
Students will answer a constructed response question: In what ways are Hinduism and Buddhism similar or different? Use the answers in your Venn Diagram to support your answer.
