    ARCHAEOLOGY

    91 sites devolved 57 sites were verified by joint Committee of Federal & Provincial Archaeology Department. 34 sites are not traceable 129 staff devolved Devolved Sub Regional Office Peshawar was vacated in Benevolent Fund Building, Peshawar Cantt as a cost cutting measure. Swat Museum and its artifacts have also been devolved. We are taking up a case of returning all the antiquities lying in other museums excavated from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. Antiquity Act 1975 of GoP has been replaced by KPK Antiquity Act 1997. 1997 Act under review for amendments.
