In the above setup when the set of capillary tubes is rotated by using a motor, the water which raises in the capillary tube due to capillary forces will be ejected out due to centrifugal force. This process repeats, the capillary force goes on lifting the water and centrifugal force keeps on throwing it out. Very interesting thing here to observe is that water is lifted by natural capillary force and ejeted out by imaginary or ' created' centrifugal force and both are not ' applied' forces. Hence these two forces cannot affect the performance of motor. The energy supplied to the motor remains independent of these two forces whose work is only to keep the the tubes rotating like a spinning top. (Centrifugal force acts radially and not tangentially)

This experiment is only of some theoritical interest and not of any practical use because the height to which capillary forces lift water is negligible.
