Vasuma The Old Hag There sits the old hag on a cart while knitting and talking with

the other hags and is waiting for another head to be chopped off by the Madame Guillotine. Her hair is stringy, poorly-groomed, and has no luster. A white bonnet is partially covering her head. The face appears twisted and crumpled, like she is angry and annoyed. She looks weary and half-asleep. Covering her is a tattered, old, gray sweater. With her long, bony fingers she is weaving, while keeping one eye on her knitting and another on the crowd who is cheering at Madame Guillotines actions. Behind her, a large crowd is shouting and cheering to support the event while the aristocrats die one after the other. Well-dressed men politely stand close behind her cheering loudly. In front of her, soldiers stand in their deep red coats carrying guns. Now she is watching carefully, so she can make her next move. It is heavily packed and very noisy.
