Rafique Uddin What new techniques/software have you learnt?

I have used Adobe Premier Pro CS6 to edit my footage. At start I had very little knowledge of using this software. When I looked at other Promo videos i noticed a number of effects where used and I wanted to apply these similar effects to my Promotional video for Kickstop one useful source I came across was a website called Creativecow Source: http://library.creativecow.net/devis_andrew/Premiere-Pro-CS6-Basics_1/1

Creative cow has videos of professional tutorials; it covers the use of all tools and effects from beginner to a professional level. I was fascinated by the use of effects in other Promo videos. This video was helpful as I learnt how to use the effects I wished to apply to my promo.

One effect I used to slow down and speed up time of a clip was Time Remapping. This was done using key frames. In Each key frame there is a change in speed. The yellow line moving across the clip shows the speed. When I added a key frame I moved the yellow line down to slow to down the clip, towards the end of the clip I then added another kay

frame to move the line back up to normal speed. I made the speed change graudial rather then sudden by altered the small arrows facing oposing each other. The only problem was Time Remapping dosnt change the speed of the clip so few clips often sounded out of sync. I used the three way colour effect to not only correct the colour of the video, but to add a dark and blue tint giving my promo video more of a gritty serouis look. I also applied this effect to the backround of my titles. I used key frames on this aswell to make the backround change from one colour to another. As I had my backround image ontop of my clips, it made visible by reducing the opacity level.

I added the fast blur effect to my titles. I thought my titles will look more appealing if I made them blur in and out in addition to fading them in and out. I tried giving my text a 3-D look by duplicating the same title behind on a layer below. This was all done again using key frames.

Key Frames where added multiple times to change the intensity and colour.

I added the same text just above on the layer below with less opacity level to give a 3-D effect.
