Over a long period of time, you may see the presence of some starch in the water bath. Suggest 2 possible explanations of why you might see this result? The heat of the water might break down the starch over time to be able for it to be a perfect size to fit through the permeable membrane. The membrane itself in the water might expand thus allowing for larger particles to go through.

Which biological molecules moved through the semipermeable membrane into the water bath? The chlorine ion

Why do you think these molecules moved out of the dialysis sack as quickly as they did? Because of the permeability of the membrane. The ions were the perfect size to get through, thats why they moved out very fast out of the tubing.

Suggest a reason why quick movement of each molecule into or out of a cell might be important in functions within the human body. It helps in getting specific nutrients that the body needs fast. And our body needs the speed so we can keep all our systems level, eg. Insulin
