NEET 2013 overview

The NEET conducted yesterday. There were more than 7 lakh students appeared for this exam across India. More than 1 lakh student took part from Maharashtra region. Some 20000 students were from PUNE region. As NEET-UG conducted for the first time it was expected that it would be little bit easier. But according to the feedback we collected, for the students from HSC board it was difficult compared to the CBSE students. It is universal truth that the student who studied well every exam is easy for him/her and vise-versa. We also came to the point the overall cut off will also be low. The exam conducted was of 720 marks but we assume that scoring more than 250 or 300 will ensure the admission in good medical colleges in the state. We found different reasons for getting it difficult. Some of them are, *The number of questions was more and time allotted was less *The lengthy numerical problems in Physics and Chemistry which were difficult to be answered in one minute or less *Lengthy Chemistry syllabus

*Not much familiar with the exam pattern as earlier exams were being conducted by State Board, and those were comparatively known to the students. *Less prepared for the exam. *Negative marking scheme, it leads to reduce the confidence level of the students. *The whole new exam pattern having revised syllabus which followed the CBSE syllabus which is little different from state board syllabus.

These are some of the opinions we got from the students. The result will be published in the first week of June. We hope for better results. Keep on visiting our site for exam updates.
