ERP is the Concept which attempt to integrate all departments and functions across a company to create a single software program that runs off one database.

Implementation Issues
Corporate and cultural needs should be mapped and implementation methods should be devised to match these needs. Do Gap Analysis between Package and Present Procedures A complete Business Process redesign / Reengineering (BPR) carried out prior to implementation.

A good communication network should be established across the organisation. Peoples and power users should be selected from various units and divisions. A balanced team of implementation engineers from the service providers should be put together for implementation of SAP R/3. Implementation methodologies with minimum customization should be selected.
