Caitlin is a mature professional and has demonstrated both the motivation and the expertise essential to initiating a career

in this field. Each day, she has arrived well before the required time, and often has stayed well past dismissal in order to participate in fundraising activities, to attend open houses, to set up a technology project, or just to chat with students who drop by my classroom. Though initially, she was a bit daunted by course expectations, she soon managed not only to provide challenging lessons but to inspire students to expect the most of themselves. This is most signficantly evidenced by the online magazine that served as the culminating project for 10th grade Honors Interdisciplinary studies. Under her guidance, the students produced a substantive and visually stunning on-line magazine that will soon include their parents' voices, as well. The amount of teacher preparation for this assignment was wellbeyond the norm, so much so that even on Caitlin's last day, at 3:00, she was uploading and organizing final copies into the magazine's template! Despite the consistently of her work effort throughout her time at Fayetteville-Manlius, even a week ago, I wouldn't have imagined the outcome that she was able to facilitate, in terms of student products. I have no doubt that Caitlin will continue to selfreflect and to grow, and that she will be a tribute to her profession, and I look forward to the future of the field with optimism, knowing that young woman such as Caitlin will be joining our ranks!
