Dear Parents/Guardians, My name is Kaili Salyers, and I have begun my final student teaching practicum in your childs Kindergarten

ESL classroom. I am a graduate student at the University of Illinois. I am working on a combined masters program in Curriculum & Instruction and Early Childhood Special Education with an English as a Second Language endorsement. I most recently worked at the Child Development Laboratory as a preschool teacher at the U of I for six years. I was raised in Atwood, Illinois, located 45 minutes southwest of Champaign. I grew up in a small farm town and I have fond memories of playing outdoors as a child. When I was in Kindergarten, I loved music and science. I have two older sisters, one of which lives in Champaign. My niece attends Barkstall Elementary and my nephew is a freshman at University High School. I became engaged on 11-11-11 and my fianc and I will be married in New York City at the end of this year. My fianc and I are outdoor enthusiasts. We love to go climbing, hiking, biking, swimming, and we will be running in some of the Illinois Marathon events. I will be moving to New York City at the end of June.
