Kink & Spirituality This discussion will talk about the various ways that the Kink &

B.D.S.M. culture can be safely combined with spiritual and magickal practices for deeper growth and connection. Some people believe that states of enlightenment can be reached through the use of tools of a kink nature such as floggers, restraints, etc. During this discussion we may and will, use examples from Raven Kaldera's book, "Dark Moon Rising," as it has submissions from practitioners from both cultures. Historically many traditions used and still use tools associated with B.D.S.M. *Ask people for examples they may have. Be sure to touch down on the use of the following items: Floggers/Scourges: for flagellation for purification, such as the activation of the root chakra Blinds/blindfolds: used for tests and proof of faith Swords/athames/blades: again used for tests and proof of faith Knots/ropes/binding: used for knot work and ritualistic binding *Discuss: Question/Topic 1: Are subspace, (explain if necessary) out of body, and meditation, the same or different? Question/Topic 2: The importance of safety and the use of safe words, the how-tos and why nots to make sure that the submissive stays safe and out of harm. Question/Topic 3: How can kink and spirituality be linked in a loving manner? Question/Topic 4: Aren't S&M and spirituality mutually exclusive? Question/Topic 5: How do you practice kink or kink magic without a partner? Example of sexual meditation, tantra, etc. Question/Topic 6: Is it wrong to associate a deity to to practice of kink and spirituality? Why or why not? If not, then what Gods or Goddesses do you feel would make a good fit into the kink and spirituality equation?

Kink Magick Kink and sex magick often go hand in hand, combining energy exchange with the trigger objects for raising energy.
