Bangladesh! Lift Up Your Weary Head!

Surely many of you have heard of the recent building that collapsed here in Dhaka. Reports say now that about 400 people died in the collapse. What a tragedy! I am amazed at how much suffering happens in Bangladesh and yet how much of it is selfinflicted. When the building collapsed, it looked like it would calm down some of the political rioters, but they took to the streets this time demanding the death of the owners of the building. They did this in the form of burning buses and reeking havoc on the streets. Also, in our last update, we talked of May 5th being the day of The Dhaka Siege unless the demands of Islamic law where accepted A picture of the former Rana Plaza by the government. Everyones attention was diverted for a short time due to the building collapsing, but nevertheless, when May 5th came, the demands weren't met and very violent riots started widespread across the city. The picture to the left is some rioters burning Mslm relics and such in front of a big m*sque. In futility, they are destroying themselves. In the two days after weve heard of about 500 people being killed in the riots. Since this conflict started thousands have died, the equivalent of 4 or 5 collapsed buildings. The core problem in these issues is sin, only a work of G can reveal this to them. And... God is working through these tragedies. I have heard many local believers tell me that their Mslm friends are starting Shops selling Mslm to ask questions. We have also seen many young people beginning to pr*yer hats and pr*yer beads being destroyed in front of National M*sque question their faith in Isl*m due the debauchery that they see in the name of it. As odd as it may sound all of these tragedies do not affect the work that we are doing. This past month we were able to hold a Ch*rch The narrow, Planting training with a family from the village. Pr*y for their work. Pr*y yet only, also that we can share about J, the suffering Savior; Our G who road that can understands human suffering because He himself suffered for sinners, take even for the people that inflict damage on themselves Bangladesh everyday in Bangladesh. to True

News from the school

While the status of the country is in question the children at Haleys school continue to go on growing in their relationship with J. This term her class is looking at the The Tall, The Small, The Brave, and the Strong in the Bible. While talking about King Saul (The Tall) they discussed how he was special because God chose him and how He has also chosen us to go and tell the world about J. One child from a Hindu family said, I didnt know about J before I came to this school. He also said, God used me to tell my friend about J. When discussing about Samson (The Strong) we talked about how God made him strong, but has given all of us strengths and made us special. The class told each student the special ways God has made and gifted them and then they made recipes of themselves by thinking of all the ingredients God used to make them. Pr*y for these students that they will grow in their understanding of how G has specially made them and use that for His glory to reach Bangladesh and the world!

Haleys students wrote Gods recipe for making them.

Our friend has opened up a small fish shop in the local market. The effects are almost immediate, and both mental and literal. I can see a different attitude in him. In addition, he is even able to save a small amount of money everyday. I think, for the first time he has hope in his life. He needs to learn a lot about what it means to do business, but it is good to see him learning gradually. Thank you for those of who invested in this mans life.
