For rides, please contact the relevant tour operator with any specific ride-related questions you may have. All rides end times are approximate and will of course depend on the speed of the group. Events are listed in date order, from the start of the festival, Saturday 15 June, right through to the end on Sunday 23 June. Please note the printed programme may be subject to change. Edinburgh Festival of Cycling Ltd. cannot be held liable for such changes to the programme, please check online at www.edfoc.org.uk to ensure you have the latest information. Welcome
Welcome to the first Edinburgh Festival of Cycling, taking place with the support of The City of Edinburgh Council, Alpine Bikes, The Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative and the Embassy of Denmark. Edinburgh Festival of Cycling Ltd. is a new not-for-profit social enterprise, and we will be running the festival annually as part of the Edinburgh Festival programme. Start at southern end of Middle Meadow Walk, the Meadows Sunday 23 June: 10am various end times, depending on ride chosen
SkyRide Local rides are guided by friendly British Cycling Ride Leaders along scenic planned routes. There will be something for everyone whether youre building your confidence or are already comfortable on a bike and looking for a challenge. All rides are free and are grouped for different levels. Whichever you choose, youll be riding on safe routes, in good company. Easy Ride: Meadows Meander until approx. 11.15am (actual ride time 30 minutes) Steady Ride: Ride to Balerno until approx. 12.45pm Challenging Ride: Midlothian Explorer until approx. 1.45pm All rides return to the Meadows. Free, to guarantee a place on the rides register via www.goskyride.com/Edinburgh Full details, including information on the ride leaders, will be on the SkyRide website closer to the event date.
