Dear Mr. Najarian,
We are writing to you, because we are concerned by what is happening to
our beautiful park.
Why would you deface it with an unsightly flea market? Upper Macungie
Park is also beautiful, and their supervisors are not doing that to their
taxpayers. You advertise it as a farmers market. It is not a farmers market.
That is false advertising.
Also you, the supervisors are responsible for your vendors. Are they
legal? It is your responsibility to make sure they are. You know they are
running a business, and so are the vendors.
This is not like having a yard sale in their back yards, They are on public
property. Do they have their business registered with the IRS? Are they
paying income taxes? Do they have a state sales tax number? It is your
responsibility to see that they do.
The next subject is insurance, or are the taxpayers responsible for that
too? They should have liability insurance and where applicable some might
need workmans compensation insurance.
Please do not do this to our park. You don’t want to see headlines in the
newspaper reading Lynn Township Supervisors Running Illegal Business.
Respectfully,
Concerned Taxpayers
