Governor of Salem, Salem, Massachusetts, 1692 U.S.A.

Dear governor of Salem, I, the citizen of Salem Massachusetts, demand you that the witch trials should end and let the people live peacefully. The history is definitely repeating itself. More than 200 people have been accused for practicing witchcraft and 20 were executed, however, the colony did admit that the trials were a mistake and committed the families of those who were criminals. Did you know that centuries ago, many practicing Christians and those of other religions had a strong belief that the devil could give certain people the power to harm others in return of their loyalty? I dont understand why these people even listen to devil if they believed God was not dead. Didnt they know that doing this will only lead them to nothing else but to die? So many innocent people were accused of being witches and were hung and they were buried in shallow graves or werent buried at all. All I want to say is just end the witch trials and let people live peacefully. If they were possessed by devil try to help them. Dont accuse them if theyre not witches. I will be waiting for your reply. Thank you and best Regards, Charlene (the citizen of Salem, Massachusetts)
