    Mauna Loa is located in Hawaii. Mauna Loas latitude is 19.28 degrees north and its longitude is -155.61 degrees west. The nearest town to Mauna Loa is Hilo, Hawaii. It has a population of over 40,000 people.

    Mauna Loa has an elevation of 13,681 feet! The nearest earthquake that has happened recently was right under the volcano! Thats pretty close! Mauna Loa is a shield volcano. The last eruption happened in 2005. But the scientists are expecting another one soon.
