ICDs Interface Control Documents

Overview
Qualcomm Interface Control Documents (ICDs) describe the diagnostics (DIAG) protocol and packet structures for log items as well as command request\response pairs. There are multiple documents for all supported Qualcomm technologies. These documents allow tool vendors and special projects to decode and use log files collected by QXDM Pro. The DIAG protocol and library of items are all defined in the ICDs and used by DM, QPST, QXDM Pro, and other real-time diagnostic monitors and NV memory editing applications.

SUPPORTED AIR-INTERFACE TECHNOLOGIES

CDMA2000 1X, 1xEV (Rev 0, A, and B) GSM/GPRS/EDGE WCDMA/UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+ (including DC-HSPA) LTE

Subsystem ICDs
The following are subsystem ICDs are included with select ICDs listed above. 1xEV DIAG Commands GPS Display Capture Call Manager WMS EFS 1x Call Processing

Benefits
ICDs describe the interface between Qualcomm chipsets and diagnostic tools such as QXDM Pro for the 3GPP and 3GPP2 based air-interface standards. Includes software protocol layers 1 through 3 (The Layer 3 ICD contains the binary message only. Not ASCII.) Describes the format of log packets with detailed field descriptions enabling 3rd party companies to develop diagnostic tools

QXDM Pro ISF Access SDK

Post-processing tool manufacturers and vendors who purchase an ICD are also offered a QXDM Pro ISF Access SDK at no extra charge. This SDK allows you to enhance your tools to process ISF logs directly without conversion to DLF and without the requirement to install QXDM on the same host PC that is running the post-processing application.
