Fabric: ! Thirty-six 6.5 Squares ! 2 yards solid ! 25 border ! 2 yards of 60 wide fabric for backing ! 1/4 yard fabric for binding, cut into 2 strips and sewn together All seams sewn with 1/4 seam allowance

Choose thirty-six 6.5 squares and cut them in half, diagonally.

Cut three 6.5 strips from solid, then cut those into 6.5 squares to make eighteen 6.5 solid squares.

Divide colorful triangles in half, sew to solid triangles.

Press to the dark side.

Cut eighteen 3x9 rectangles and sew to other half of colorful triangles.

Press to the dark side and cut off excess fabric.

Sew bigger triangles together and press all to the same side. Square to 8 x 8.

Sew squares together to become blocks

Sew blocks together in three rows of three. Quilt top is now 45.5 x 45.5 square.

Border: Cut border fabric into ve 5 strips. Cut the selvage off all 5, then trim four strips to 41 and the other strip in the four 10 x 5 rectangles. Sew rectangle to strip to become border pieces.

Sew strips to the edges, pressing between each side.

All done with the top!
