Goal and description

Motion interpolation is a form of video processing in which intermediate animation frames are generated between existing ones, in an attempt to make animation more fluid, and to compensate for display motion blur.

The purpose of this project is to achieve video interpolation via software, and not with a dedicated hardware that does that, such as HDTVs. This project needs to be supported even on low end tier hardware such as notebooks, tablets.

Constrains

In order for this project to be successful, it needs to be made in such a way that its easy to integrate into most/all popular video players, and the product must support the most common video formats from the get go. The product must be optimized so that it runs well on every type of hardware, be it low tier or high tier.

Conclusions
Open project is a very useful tool for managing your resources and estimates. One risk would be that some people might not take the soap opera effect that video interpolation achieves very lightly. Higher power consumption on laptops, so less battery life while watching movies.
