Duration:

Duration of course is eight months.

Eligibility:
Can be pursued by 10+2 pass students of Arts, Science or Commerce Stream (excluding Fine Arts).

Registration:
Must register with the ICSI at least eight months in advance.

1) Business Environment & Entrepreneurship:
PART-A- Business Environment - (30 Marks) PART-B- Business Laws - (40 Marks) PART-C- Entrepreneurship - (30 Marks)

2) Business Management & Ethics:


PART-A- Business Management - (40 Marks) PART-B- Business Ethics - (20 Marks) PART-C- Communication - (40 Marks)

Exams:
Exams of this course are held twice in a year, in the month of June and December. For December 2012 exams new syllabus will be applicable under OMR (Optical Mark Recognition).There will be no negative marking under new OMR system. Existing system syllabus is also available till June 2013.

Exam Dates:
First week of June (2nd to 7th) - 9.30 to 12.30 A.M

Last week of Dec. (26th to 31st) - 9.30 to 12.30 A.M

Type of Paper:
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

Relaxation:
Student will be given two attempts to clear the existing/old syllabus course. Student can change over to new syllabus from existing without any exemption.

Cut off dates:


31st March is the cut-off date for admission to appear in December exams. 30th September is the cut-off date for admission to appear in June exams next year.

Fees Structure:
The course fee is Rs. 4,500/- for CS Foundation programme and the Examination fee is Rs. 1,200/- (lump sum).

Prospectus:
The cost of prospectus and Examination Application Form is Rs. 500/-.

Payment Option:
Payment can be done through demand draft, which has to be drawn in favor of 'The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, payable at New Delhi.
