1. Managing the retirement process:


Retirement process can be managed by adapting the following instructional services:

. Inviting experts to talk about certain aspects of retirement. . Holding meetings with former retirees for an informal exchange on the problems of switching roles and
how to deal with them.

. The potential retirees may also be asked to fill out a personal affairs checklist so that retirement income
can be estimated and a prospective budget can be worked out.

. Provide a library or access materials on retirement planning. . Specialize counseling may be employed to counsel individuals on problems of adjustment. . Training programs may also be conducted on areas like money management, estate management, time
management, small business management (entrepreneur skills).

2. Benefits of retirement programs/ instructional services: . Successful retirees become ambassadors of good will for the organization. . Productivity of prospective retirees prior to retirement are enhanced, because of reducing/ lessening of the
anxiety about the future.

. Retirees become a valuable resource in the society. . It enhances greater self-sufficiency and thus reducing the burden of taking care of the old people in the
society.
