REPORT

To: The Management Board From: Observant Subject: The meeting between Denis Mitchell and Jack Newman Date: December 18th 2008

The purpose of this report is to examine information gathered from observations made during the meeting between Denis Mitchell and his boss, Jack Newman, meeting which concerned the decission of keeping Mr. Mitchell in the company or not.The report summarises the positive and negative features of the discussion and the manner they reached a conclusion. First of all, it must be said that the beginning of the meeting didnt meet my expectations , due to the fact that Mr. Mitchell wasnt likely to cooperate or to admit any mistake. He presented his arguments for sustaining his rude behaviour towards his colleagues in a very arrogant way. At times he lost his temper and didnt let his boss express his opinions or to comment on what Mr. Mitchell was saying.Furthermore, being conscious that he was the one who brought profit and prestige to the company, he didnt seem to accept any concession. On the other hand, despite the fact that he didnt agree with Denis, Mr. Newman was calm and had the appropiate behaviour for a boss.He tried to explain to Mr. Mitchell what he should change in his attitude in order to continue his activity in the company. Finally, they succeed in reaching a conclusion as Mr. Newman proposed Mr. Mitchell to work home and to join a teambuilding so that he could learn how to interact with others. As the latter accepted these conditions ,the negotiations finished. On the basis of the points mentioned above, I strongly recommend the someone should supervise Mr.Mitchell for a period so that the boss might find out if Mr. Mitchells attitude improve or if they should give him the sack.
