Compare RGB to CMYK colours (only on monitor): - On monitor, RGB and CMYK colours are quite different - RGB colours are lighter then CMYK colours - CMYK colours are more saturated then RGB colours - Hues of RGB colours are high key (red, magenta and yellow are warm high key while blue, cyan, and green are cool high key) 2. Compare RGB (on monitor) to RGB (print): - Colours are more saturated in print then on monitor - RGB colours on screen are brighter then in print - On monitor colours appear more solid while in print RGB colours appear almost faded 3. Compare CMYK (on monitor) to CMYK (print): - Cyan, green, blue, and black are more saturated in print then on monitor - Yellow, red, and magenta are less saturated in print then on monitor - Black appears more like grey on monitor then in print - Hues are low key on both the monitor and in print - CMYK colours on monitor are brighter then CMYK colours in print 4. Compare RGB to CMYK colours (just print): - Hues of RGB colours are high key while hues of CMYK colours are low key - CMYK colours are more saturated then RGB colours - RGB colours are brighter then CMYK colours - Red is the only colour that is the same for both RGB and CMYK
