32/64 Bit Windows PCL Universal Driver

Overview
These drivers support the 64 bit versions of Windows 2008 Server, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2003 Server and Windows XP as well as the 32 bit versions of Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP and Windows 2000. They differ from our other drivers in the following ways: A single driver package is used across multiple product lines. The feature set and appearance of the universal drivers are different.

Precautions
In most cases, the initial install of the driver will select e-STUDIO6530c as the model. After install, the driver should be configured with the correct model and accessories.

Driver Features
These drivers can be installed on a Windows Server and shared via Point and Print to the other supported operating systems. These universal drivers are implemented differently than our other drivers. The core functionality of the product is implemented, but there are some minor functions that are not implemented in the universal driver and there are other functions where the user interface is not as featured. The feature set in the universal driver should meet the needs of the overwhelming majority of users. In some cases the universal driver will not correctly discover the MFP installed options. In those cases, set the options manually

Supported Models and Required Firmware


Upon release of the PS Universal Drivers, some models required special firmware to use the drivers. Currently, all supported models use production firmware.

Installation
Install the driver by running setup.
