The Wolf, the Fox and the Ape

Many years ago, there lived a wolf and a fox. They were both cunning and dishonest. It so happened that the two were friends. They would hunt together. But whenever they caught something, the wolf and the fox would fight over the catch. The fox was always accusing the wolf of stealing and getting away with a bigger share. And the wolf in turn was accusing the fox of stealing and getting away with a large share. An ape who lived nearby said, If you two stop arguing I will judge who is right. The fox and the wolf stopped fighting and told the ape their side of the story. The ape heard them both and said, Mr Fox I dont think you have stolen anything. And Mr Wolf I dont think you have stolen anything either. Your arguments are pointless and should stop. The two realised that they were being foolish and decided from that day that they would not fight. MORAL: Dont fight without a purpose.
